As I will be posting words and images I would enjoy hearing/seeing your reactions, comments, suggestions and so forth. But shall we agree on some basic rules of engagement? Let's keep it civil; shall we.pretend we're having high tea whilst sitting in the garden enjoying some scintillating conversation for our mutual edification. Please turn off your cellphone and place any weapons in the Fridge.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Today the ante has probably been raised to crypto-currency levels. Perhaps an image is now worth a million words or dollars for that matter. For example, a Da Vinci sketch, a first issue of Superman comics, even a rather nebulous NFT.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Today the ante has probably been raised to crypto-currency levels. Perhaps an image is now worth a million words or dollars for that matter. For example, a Da Vinci sketch, a first issue of Superman comics, even a rather nebulous NFT.
On the flip side, can one say a few words are worth a thousand images? What about the lyrics of a song or the sparse lines of a poem...or the signature on a check? Cutting to the chase, my work is motivated by the phrase When Words and Images Collide, a play on that classic 1951 scifi flick "When Worlds Collide." In other words my work is an amalgam of both words and images, wherein the juxtaposition results in a whole greater than the sum of the parts
To date I have published well over a million periodical and media words focusing on a variety of subjects as well as over two thousand images, including a dozen books and a couple screenplays, the latter of dubious caliber. To date I have published well over a million periodical and media words focusing on a variety of subjects as well as over two thousand images, including a dozen books and a couple screenplays, the latter of dubious caliber. The mere fact that I've survived this long, and earned my bread and non-dairy butter in the process, has come as a complete surprise to me...and I'm sure to several others.
In the process I've managed to acquire three university degrees, rambled' round 20 some countries, both friendly and not so, ridden 150,000 miles on motorcycles, jumped out of perfectly good airplanes with perfectly bad parachutes, scanned the skies with a a forest of personal telescopes (and seen stuff), and engaged in other activities that I don't usually talk about. I'm probably getting too wordy so let's just say this website/blog is created to hopefully attract your interest on any number of levels. Naturally I would hope to garner some new assignments, sell a few of my books and hear from those in the publishing world who would find favor with my several other books, fiction and nonfiction, now completed and looking for a good publishing house.
Since they tell me a blog is the trendy way to go, perhaps I will add new items to the menu but promise not to chronicle my flossing tips or recommendations for politicians' neural implants.
Thank you for diligence and consideration in getting this far. .So whatsay we move forward into the breech and see what's to be seen and read.
